Job description

Our state government client is seeking an experienced ICT Procurement Specialist to deliver strategic ICT sourcing and contract management outcomes across complex, high-value ICT programs. This role focuses on strategic sourcing activities supported by downstream ICT contract management, operating within established Queensland Government contracting frameworks, including QITC/GITC and General Goods and Services.

About the Role

You will play a critical role in shaping and delivering ICT procurement strategies that achieve value for money, manage risk, and realise long-term benefits.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading the development of strategic sourcing approaches and contract management plans.
  • Managing end-to-end ICT strategic sourcing activities, including market analysis, procurement planning, evaluation, and contract award.
  • Providing expert advice on ICT procurement strategies, commercial models, and sourcing methodologies for complex and high-risk procurements.
  • Administering ICT contracts in line with approved Contract Management Plans, including performance monitoring and KPI oversight.
  • Maintaining contract integrity through accurate documentation, record keeping, and amendment management.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, delivery partners, and external suppliers.
  • Identifying and managing risks in a commercially sensitive and fast-paced environment.
  • Preparing high-quality briefings, reports, presentations, and correspondence.

About You

You will bring:
  • Proven experience in ICT strategic sourcing and contract management.
  • High-level knowledge and application of the QITC framework for ICT procurement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex procurement issues.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Experience across both public and private sectors (highly desirable).
