Our client is a government organisation delivering strategic financial services and operational excellence across multiple departments. They are seeking experienced finance professionals to join their Financial Operations Directorate in Canberra. These roles offer the opportunity to contribute to treasury, accounts receivable, and accounts payable functions within a collaborative and forward-thinking team.


About the Roles:

We are recruiting for four key positions across APS5 to APS6 levels. These roles support the delivery of high-quality financial services, including treasury management, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. You’ll be part of a team driving continuous improvement and supporting the implementation of new financial systems and processes.

APS6 Team Leader – Treasury & Accounts Receivable

Lead a small team and provide strategic and technical advice on Treasury and Accounts Receivable operations. This role is central to managing daily drawdowns, RBA accounts, invoicing, debt collection, and end-of-month reporting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Treasury management and accounts receivable oversight
  • Daily drawdowns via CBMS and monthly bank reconciliations
  • RBA account management and debt collection
  • End-of-month reporting and reconciliations
  • Policy and process improvement initiatives
Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ supervisory experience in Treasury and Accounts Receivable
  • Strong knowledge of PGPA Act and Commonwealth financial frameworks
  • Proficiency in CBMS, TechnologyOne, and Excel
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills

APS6 Team Leader – Accounts Payable

Lead the Accounts Payable team and provide strategic advice on financial operations. This role supports the implementation of new financial systems and ensures compliance with government financial frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and development of the Accounts Payable team
  • Oversight of processing, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Policy development and process improvement
  • Stakeholder engagement and customer service
Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ supervisory experience in Accounts Payable
  • Knowledge of PGPA Act and financial compliance
  • Experience with Expense8, TechnologyOne, and Excel
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills

APS5 Treasury & Accounts Receivable Officer

Support Treasury operations and contribute to the delivery of accurate and timely financial services. This role involves hands-on treasury management and accounts receivable functions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily drawdowns and bank reconciliations
  • RBA account management and debt collection
  • Financial analysis and reporting
  • Policy updates and process improvements
Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Treasury and Accounts Receivable
  • Knowledge of PGPA Act and financial systems
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Experience with CBMS, TechnologyOne, and Excel

Essential Requirements:

  • Australian Citizenship
  • Current Baseline security clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a national police check
