We are seeking an APS5 HR Support Officer to join this Brisbane based Federal Government department. This role involves performing, coordinating, and providing support for various administrative, advisory, and business support activities within the Performance, Planning, and Wellbeing Section of the People and Capability Branch.
This is an 8-week assignment offering $56.14 per hour + super.
The successful candidate will support internal team members and business customers by providing timely advice and assistance related to HR performance, planning, and wellbeing queries and activities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the section's mailbox, triaging queries and requests for advice.
- Review and approve flexible working arrangement applications.
- Handle contract administration and process invoices.
- Manage WHS support roles, such as first aid officers.
- Serve as the secretariat to the National Work Health and Safety Committee.
- Support rehabilitation case management, early intervention, and work health and safety.
- Manage performance, planning, and wellbeing content on the intranet.
- Acquire, maintain, and apply a well-developed understanding of WHS and SRC legislative framework and HR policies.
- Support the Performance, Planning, and Wellbeing Section in delivering services and advice to managers and employees.
- Resolve queries from employees and managers, and forward complex issues to relevant team members.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on operational and administrative matters.
- Represent the work area at meetings, conferences, and seminars.
- Experience in a HR Support Role; knowledge of Federal Government preferred but not essential
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance, with the potential to obtain a higher clearance if required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a national police check.
- Australian Citizenship is a condition of eligibility.
