About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Teacher – Literacy & Numeracy to join our clients dedicated team at a highly respected education institution on a temporary basis for 2-3 days per week until November. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting students’ academic success by delivering engaging and targeted literacy and numeracy training aligned to their chosen qualifications.

You’ll collaborate closely with industry trainers and other educators to design effective teaching strategies and adapt content to meet diverse learner needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality literacy and numeracy education
  • Develop engaging, inclusive, and compliant learning materials
  • Team-teach and coordinate with vocational educators
  • Maintain accurate student records and support compliance audits
  • Respond to student enquiries and help develop training plans
  • Participate in student events, course planning, and new initiatives
  • Keep your teaching skills and vocational knowledge up to date
About You

You are an enthusiastic educator with a strong foundation in literacy and numeracy instruction, passionate about supporting learners from all backgrounds.

To be successful, you will have:

  • A Bachelor of Education or a related postgraduate teaching qualification
  • Demonstrated experience using a range of teaching strategies
  • Strong planning, organisation, and time management skills
  • A focus on inclusive, student-centered learning
  • Specialised knowledge in numeracy (highly desirable)
Mandatory Requirements

  • Valid Working with Children Check
  • National Police Check (dated within the last 5 years)
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • Must have VIT Registration
