A Federal Government Council centrally located in Canberra looking to improve health outcomes for Australians through a variety of systems and strategies.
 
About the role

As an APS5 Procurement Administration Officer, you will assist with procurement related activitites related to a large program.
 
In this role, you will:
  • Coordinate and administer procurement activities including mailbox monitoring and administering procurement related websites or portals
  • Coordinate document reviews and manage procurement approvals paperwork
  • Participate and support the development and maintenance of procurement documentation, processes and procedures
  • Assist with undertaking or participate in procurement risk assessments, implementation and management of effective controls
  • Assist with procurement briefings including coordinating industry briefing activities and probity management
  • Draft correspondence and addenda
  • Maintain records of vendor interactions
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and develop and maintain effective relationships
  • Provide general procurement support
  • Follow all Agency policies, procedures and instructions and take reasonable care for your own health, safety and wellbeing in the workplace.
Skills and Experience
 
The successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:
  • experience in procurement and contract management within a government environment;
  • knowledge of related Commonwealth Frameworks and policies including Commonwealth Procurement Rules;
  • experience in drafting procurement and contract documentation;
  • Well organised with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines to achieve outcomes;
  • High level organisational, coordination and document management skills; and
  • Requirement to obtain and maintain relevant national police check, and security clearance in which Australian Citizenship is a condition of eligibility
  • Cert IV in Government Procurement and Contracting (desirable)
