DFP Recruitment is seeking an experienced API Integration Support Specialist to join our Government Client team. We are seeking an experienced API Support & Integration Specialist to support and maintain enterprise integration platforms within a fast-paced, agile environment.
Role responsibilities
- Liaise with and support Digital Partners to register, onboard, and subscribe to APIs.
- Maintain, configure, and support APIs and applications using MuleSoft and IBM API Connect.
- Perform API and environment testing as required to support system stability and change initiatives.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on end-to-end API health, performance, and usage metrics.
- Troubleshoot MuleSoft and IBM API Connect issues, working collaboratively with external vendors to resolve incidents.
- Partner closely with Level 3 technical and development teams to investigate and resolve complex issues.
- Manage confidential and sensitive information in accordance with organisational and regulatory requirements.
- Apply ITIL best-practice methodologies for incident management and service requests.
- Work collaboratively within cross-functional teams (e.g., Business Analysts, Test Analysts, MuleSoft Developers), contributing to the prioritisation and tracking of system improvements through monthly sprints.
- Participate in daily stand-ups to review progress, system enhancements, and issues with developers and third-party vendors.
- 2–3 years’ experience working with APIs and/or integration technologies.
- Demonstrated experience supporting systems in high-pressure, operational environments.
- Proven experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks.
- Experience working in DevOps environments, including configuring and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of API and integration technologies, with the ability to quickly learn new platforms in complex, mission-critical environments.
- Hands-on experience administering and configuring MuleSoft and/or IBM API Connect.
- Exposure to CRM systems.
