Job description

  • Federal Government opportunity in Parramatta
  • 12 months Contract with possible extension
  • $60.26 per hour + super
  • Hybrid work arrangement
The APS6 Grants Officer operates with considerable autonomy and accountability, exercising initiative and judgment to interpret legislation and policy. This role provides detailed technical, professional, policy, and operational support and advice to address complex issues. Additionally, it involves coordinating strategic planning, program and project management, and policy development in alignment with the agency’s objectives to support its missions and goals.
 
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Provide expert grants policy advice in compliance with Commonwealth policies and legislation.
  • Support business areas with grant administration and business partnering.
  • Maintain grants templates to ensure compliance with policies and legislation.
  • Prepare comprehensive grants reports and briefing materials for stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Grants function. 
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Proven experience in grant management or policy advice.
  • Strong capability in technical and policy support within a governmental context.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage complex, sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism.
