Job description

The Role

On behalf of a large federal government agency we have multiple opportunities for APS6 Program Support Officers. The roles will be 12 months and can be based in Geelong, Sunshine or Box Hill.

The APS6 Program Support Officer will join a newly formed team playing a key role in the implementation of a new government strategy. The team works closely with Health Liaison Officers, Policy teams and National Delivery team members.  

Responsibilities include but are not limited to; 
  • Lead and/or manage staff responsible for providing business admin support across a range of activities including systems, workload management, people performance and change management
  • Provide accurate and specialised advice, ensuring knowledge of and compliance with legislation and policy frameworks 
  • Assess and maintain quality processes and documentation relating to service delivery 
  • Coordinate and analyse data and written information for the purposes of drafting communications including reports, advice, presentations and communications 
  • Collect and audit workforce planning and capacity data 
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements 
To be considered for this role you will demonstrate; 
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in project planning, project management, continuous improvement or service delivery
  • Experience leading a team including delegation of workload and performance management tasks
  • Solid MS Office skills 
  • Experience working in a challenging and complex environment
