Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced Office Manager (ASO4 level) for a 3‑month contract supporting a large state government health service based in Adelaide.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in complex, fast‑paced environments and is confident supporting senior leaders while overseeing administrative operations.

About the Role

Reporting to a senior Administration Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of office operations and the delivery of high-quality executive and administrative support. You will lead and guide a team of administrative staff while acting as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading and coordinating administrative and office support functions
  • Managing workflows, competing priorities and high-volume correspondence
  • Providing executive-level diary, meeting, and correspondence support
  • Overseeing administrative systems, processes, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Supporting projects, briefings, reporting and governance activities
  • Supervising and mentoring administrative staff to ensure service continuity
  • Acting as a central liaison point across multidisciplinary teams
About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • Demonstrated experience in an administrative management or office manager role, ideally within government or health
  • Strong leadership capability with experience managing and supporting staff
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including drafting high-level correspondence
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a complex, deadline-driven environment
  • High levels of discretion, professionalism and confidentiality
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders and across multiple teams
Requirements
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • National Police Check
  • Ability to meet health and immunisation requirements
  • Current driver’s licence (preferred)
