DFP Recruitment is seeking an experienced Application Support Analyst to join our Government Client team. This role works closely with business users, technical teams, and external vendors to investigate, triage, and resolve system and process issues while supporting ongoing release and testing cycles.
Role responsibilities
- Investigate, analyse, and resolve ICT system issues using technical expertise and strong understanding of business rules
- Provide Level 2 incident and service request support using an ITSM tool in line with ITIL best practices
- Triage and validate complex issues, distinguishing between system defects (IT) and business rule or operational issues
- Liaise effectively with internal stakeholders, business users, technical teams, and external vendors to achieve timely outcomes
- Support system testing activities including SIT, UAT, and BVT, including issue replication and validation
- Assist with tasks required to support system releases and deployment cycles
- Perform data analysis and reporting using Microsoft Excel, identifying trends and contributing to root cause analysis
- Maintain clear documentation and communicate resolutions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated experience supporting SAP or Salesforce platforms
- Proven experience using an ICT Service Management (ITSM) tool and applying ITIL methodology for incident and service request management
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and manage internal and external stakeholders to deliver business outcomes
- Experience analysing and reporting on data using Microsoft Excel
- Interest in and understanding of accessible design and development, with a willingness to adopt inclusive and accessible approaches.
