Job description

DFP Perth are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to engage on a temporary contract for 7 months with our State Government client based in Joondalup.   

Position: Business Analyst 

Start Date: 25/08/2024 

End Date: 25/02/2025 (7 month contract with the possibility of extension)  

Location: Joondalup 

Hours per week: 37.5 hours per week  

Salary: $65.00 - $85.00 per hour + Superannuation 


Key Responsibilities 
As a Business Analyst, you will: 
  • Provide Analytical Support: Deliver key actions for the Approvals System Reform roadmap. This includes mapping, analyzing, and re-engineering multi-faceted business requirements, processes, and efficiencies within a complex environmental approvals system. 
  • Streamline Approvals Processes: Evaluate existing digital solutions and identify opportunities for future improvements to enhance the efficiency of the approvals processes. 
  • Stakeholder Consultation: Collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders and across government. Your role will be crucial in supporting the achievement of project outcomes. 
  • Co-Design with Industry Experts: Partner with industry experts to co-design and future-proof the approvals processes, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the sector. 
  • Support Leadership: Work closely with the Program Manager, Strategic Project Manager, and Program Director to design and implement approvals reform changes. 
Required Skills and Experience 
To excel in this role, you will need:

Business Analysis Expertise: Demonstrated experience in business analysis, problem-solving, issue analysis, and the formulation of options and implementation of solutions.

Strong Analytical Skills: Proven ability to understand complex workflows and systems, coupled with strong conceptual and analytical skills to develop innovative solutions.

Stakeholder Engagement: Experience in building alliances with various stakeholders, leveraging exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

Communication Proficiency: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly, concisely, and effectively. 

Additional Qualifications
 
  • Desirable: Experience with project management tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira is highly regarded but not essential.
