Job description

Client: NSW Government (details TBA)
Hours: full-time (40 hours per week)
Location: Sydney/WFH (hybrid)
Start: ASAP
Duration: EOFY 23/24
Pay Rate: $1,300 per day + superannuation
Checks: full working rights, references, police check
 
Candidate Profile:
  • Establish and lead a Program Management Office
  • Lead and manage staff undertaking the planning and delivery of program management, policy development and highly complex projects for the Ministry of Health to deliver organisational objectives
  • Develop and implement strategies and tools for the continuous monitoring and evaluation of projects, including risk and contingency management, benefits realisation, and project impact and quality measures, to identify and address issues and assess project progress and overall effectiveness
  • Provide sound advice and information to stakeholders on emerging project issues and present recommendations to support project delivery in line with established plans, budgets, timeframes, policy objectives and other project priorities
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with key stakeholders through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to ensure stakeholders are engaged throughout the project and project deliverables are met
  • Plan, manage and monitor projects assigned to the team to ensure project outcomes and/or expectations are achieved.
  • Prepare high quality written reports, briefs, correspondence and cabinet documents to inform or respond to agency or Government requests.
  • Oversee research and formulate recommendations to support evidence-based project planning and decision making
