Job Title: .Net Developer
Location: Canberra, Australia
Security Clearance: NV1 Clearance Mandatory
Client: Federal Government 

Overview: DFP Recruitment is seeking skilled .Net Developers for our federal government client in Canberra. The successful candidates will join Information Management and Technology Division, contributing to large-scale full stack projects. This role requires a strong background in .Net development, with a focus on security, performance, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain large-scale full stack projects, including UI, integration, backend services, and database design.
  • Implement back-end solutions using .NET framework, .NET core, MSMQ, and C#.
  • Utilise web service skills with mandatory expertise in C# and REST APIs, and desirable experience in WCF and SOAP legacy services integration.
  • Ensure software security by incorporating robust security measures and adhering to ISM standards.
  • Develop and maintain scalable web services with strong knowledge of IIS, load balancers, and web farms.
  • Design efficient queries to optimize performance.
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders and technical staff, leading relevant meetings and contributing to detailed design documentation.
Qualifications:
  • Over 5 years of .Net development experience on large-scale projects.
  • Mandatory back-end skills: .NET framework, .NET core, MSMQ, and C#.
  • Desirable back-end skills: Azure DevOps CI-CD, NServiceBus, SQL Server, and Pipeline.
  • Mandatory web service skills: C# and REST APIs.
  • Desirable web service skills: WCF and SOAP legacy services integration.
  • Strong experience in security-focused software development, including role-based access, auditing, and integration with AD, ADFS, LDAP, Certificate, and authentication.
  • Extensive knowledge of scalable web services and efficient query design.
  • Excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude.
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and contribute to detailed design documentation.

  • Eagerness to learn and promote good development/engineering practices.
  • Collaborative mindset with stakeholders and technical staff.
  • Capability to prepare and contribute to detailed design documentation and templates.
