Job description

Are you passionate about supporting Australian Defence Force personnel and their families? Do you have extensive experience with managing risks and fostering valuable relationships? If so, our client has a fantastic opportunity in either Canberra, Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne or Perth. 

Our client is dedicated to providing counselling and support programs to ADF personnel and their families. The Business Operations Branch ensures the smooth functioning of the clinical operations by providing key business services support.

About the Role:

As the Risk Management – Assistant Director, your primary responsibility will be managing risks associated with the case management system. This involves engaging with vendors and internal parties regarding business, cyber, and legal risks.

Duties will include:
  • Establishing and fostering high-value relationships with key internal colleagues to manage vendor contracts and associated priorities.
  • Representing the Reporting & Data Management section in meetings and workshops to ensure reporting requirements remain a priority.
  • Providing regular reports, briefs, and updates to senior leadership on risk mitigation strategies.
  • Engaging with the Reporting Team to address data quality issues and improve reporting processes.
  • Coordinating and documenting the management and mitigation of risks.
Skills and Qualifications to be successful:
  • Highly developed stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, manage, monitor, and improve stakeholder relations to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Experience in project and risk management.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work collaboratively to manage deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to make decisions and exercise judgment under general direction.
  • Ability to adapt positively and flexibly within a changing environment.
