We’re seeking to engage an experienced Procurement and Contract Manager to step into an EL1 role for an 8‑month temporary opportunity in Townsville. This role supports a busy capital works and operations program and suits someone who is confident managing construction or technical contracts, working with multiple stakeholders, and keeping projects on track.
Reporting to the Director - Business Operations and Capital Works, you will manage procurement and contracts for a range of construction and technical projects. This includes helping define scopes of work, going to market, assessing tenders, setting up contracts and actively managing them through to delivery. You will work closely with Finance, Legal and project teams and deal regularly with external suppliers and contractors.

- Strong experience managing construction or technical contracts
- A good understanding of government procurement and contract rules
- Experience managing contracts across timeframes, budgets and delivery requirements
- A careful, detail‑focused approach to reviewing technical and contract material
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and confidence dealing with stakeholders
- Qualifications in contract management, procurement, project management, engineering, or similar experience
- Demonstrated experience with construction and/or technical projects
- Proof of Australian Citizenship
