EL1 Systems Procurement Specialist

The EL1 Systems Procurement Specialist works within The Corporate Systems directorate is part of Scheme Digital Platforms (SDP) and is responsible for planning and managing the vendor portfolio, defining vendors’ requirements, finding the best available vendors, and cultivating and maintaining vendors and stakeholders’ relationships.
The Corporate Systems directorate provides advice on ICT Investment to help drive our client’s Digital Transformation.

About You:
You’ll bring your specialist procurement experience and knowledge to this role, demonstrating a great understanding of the Commonwealth Investment Framework, Digital and ICT Investment Oversight Framework (IOF) and extensive experience working with DTA & BuyICT.

Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Plan and manage procurement activities.
- Prepare documentation, approval briefs and business cases for procurement.
- Review requirements and business cases and determine appropriate procurement methods.
- Drive procurement activities working with the internal team and supplier(s).
- Advise on the business case for alternative sourcing models.
- Ensure procurement is driven in compliance with the prescribed policy and procedures etc.
- Prepare procurement briefs and updates for leadership as required.
About You:
You’ll bring your specialist procurement experience and knowledge to this role, demonstrating a great understanding of the Commonwealth Investment Framework, Digital and ICT Investment Oversight Framework (IOF) and extensive experience working with DTA & BuyICT.
Key skills required for roles:
- 4 to 6 years' experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated successful management of vendor relationships, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance management.
- Demonstrate negotiation skills and contract managements.
- Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills and analyse vendor performance
- Proven commitment to developing staff capability and proactively fostering a positive culture aligned to corporate values.
- Being familiar with the Commonwealth resource management framework and how officials in the Commonwealth public sector use and manage public resources.
- Being familiar with the ICT Investment Approval Process. (IAPP)
- Comfortable with new ways of thinking about accessibility and enthusiastic about accessible design & development will be highly regarded.

- Applicants must hold Australian citizenship.
- Be willing to undergo an Australian Federal Police Check and completion of the Agency’s screening checks, including; Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Hold or able to obtain a minimum Baseline Security Clearance.
