DFP Recruitment is partnering with a large South Australian state government organisation to source an experienced Facilities Program Manager for a 2‑year contract within their Facilities Management unit.
This is a senior role suited to someone with demonstrated experience managing large commercial or public-sector asset portfolios, strong asset data and financial acumen, and the ability to lead organisation-wide facilities programs.
About the role
In this position, you will be responsible for the development, delivery and oversight of complex facilities and asset management programs across a sizeable, geographically dispersed portfolio. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, operational facilities managers and external service providers to ensure effective budget allocation, asset lifecycle planning and maintenance delivery.

- Portfolio-level facilities and asset program management
- Analysis, governance and maintenance of large asset datasets
- Development and monitoring of annual and forward-year facilities budgets
- Financial review, reconciliation and spend tracking across the portfolio
- Stakeholder consultation and relationship management
- Oversight of preventative maintenance programs and service provider performance
To be successful, you will bring:
- Proven experience managing large, complex commercial or government asset portfolios
- Strong asset data, spreadsheet and financial analysis skills
- Experience developing facilities work programs, budget forecasts and expenditure tracking
- Sound knowledge of portfolio facilities management and asset lifecycle planning
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- The ability to operate at a strategic level while maintaining attention to detail
Additional information

- ASO6 salary: $98,478 – $104,165 + 12% super + leave loading (1.0 FTE)
- Location: Adelaide CBD
- Contract: 2 years
