Job description

DFP Recruitment Perth are currently seeking an Estimator for a 6 month contract with our state government client located in East Perth.

Duties:
  • Preparing cost estimates for road and bridge projects.
  • Developing a consistent approach to claims management of all forms of contracts.
  • Managing the provision of legal, contract management and claims management services.
  • Providing specialist advice to managers on assessment, negotiation and resolution of claims.
  • Reporting and recommend on the outcomes of claims and risk.
  • Managing claim records and documentation.
  • Evaluating and recommending continuous improvements to the claims management systems and processes.
Essential:
  • Experience in cost estimating and variation assessment for a broad range of infrastructure projects
  • Skills and experience in commercial and claims management, including contract administration
  • Negotiation and facilitation skills
  • Skills and experience in managing financial, technological, physical and other resources within agreed allocations to meet agreed outcomes.
  • Drivers Licence

Desirable:
  • A Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management and Economics, or other relevant discipline

The successful candidate will need to provide a current police clearance and be fully vaccinated against covid-19, including a booster if eligible.
