IT Support Officer

Job description

Our valued State Government client is seeking an IT Support Officer to join their team on an initial contract until 26 June 2026, with a strong possibility of extension.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build hands-on experience within a supportive IT environment while gaining valuable State Government exposure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and general support to the IT team
  • Assist with day-to-day IT operations and coordination
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders
  • Support documentation and reporting using Microsoft Word and Excel

About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:
  • A Degree in IT or Certificate III in IT
  • Experience working in, or alongside, an IT team in an administrative or support capacity
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • A positive attitude and a keen willingness to learn

Working arrangements

  • The successful applicant will be required to work on-site full time for the first month
  • Following this, a hybrid 60/40 arrangement (office/work from home) can be discussed

This role is ideal for an early-career IT professional or IT support administrator looking to grow their skills in a structured government setting.
