We are currently seeking experienced Laboratory Technicians to fill a role for our well-known client BHP at the Kalgoorlie Nickel Smelter.  
  • 12-hour shift
  • 4/4 roster

About the role:
Reporting to the Chief Chemist, this role is responsible for obtaining and analysing samples from our plant, largely in the Converters and Furnace areas of the smelter, to ensure process control is maintained.
This is a fast-paced role, requiring consistent results.
The role will also involve some adhoc testing in other areas of the plant including Acid Plant, Effluent and Powerhouse areas, Quality Control testing and analysis of sample from our other Nickel West sites to ensure consistency in our processes.
 
The successful applicant will:
  • Have good mathematical and computer skills
  • Have a recent National Police Clearance (within the last 6 months)
  • Can Pass a Pre employment medical & DAS
  • Have your own driver’s licence & transport
  • Must be available to work both day and night shifts
 
This is a residential role to Kalgoorlie.
