Job description

DFP Recruitment is currently seeking a Network Engineer for one of our government clients, based in East Perth. Role is working Fulltime on a 3-month contract, with potential for extension.

The role will require the following:

• Network Engineer with considerable experience supporting medium to large enterprises.
• Demonstrated experience with Local Area Network (LAN),
• Wide Area Network (WAN),
• Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) and Data Centre network technologies.
• Demonstrated experience with cloud networking principles and implementation.
• Demonstrated experience with network firewalls, Virtual Private Network (VPN) and demilitarized zone (DMZ) operations.

Experience with one or more of the following areas is required:

• Cisco wireless, switching, routing hardware and software.
• Broadcom switching hardware.
• Cisco Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (AAA) software.
• Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) and Check Point firewalls
• Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Networking.

Desired

• Experience or familiarity with networking through CUAGNICT2015 (“GovNext”) would be regarded favourably.
