Job description

DFP Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading, values-driven allied health provider delivering high-quality therapeutic services and assessments. Together, we support a multidisciplinary team—including Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Social Workers, and Provisional Psychologists—who bring deep experience across community disability and mental health settings. United by a shared mission, we’re committed to helping people live their best lives through innovative, flexible models of care.

About the Role
As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a central role in delivering high-quality therapeutic and mental health intervention support to individuals across the lifespan—from young children through to older adults, including those with complex care needs and dual disabilities. You’ll work as part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team, providing clinical assessments and evidence-based interventions such as:
  • Functional, sensory, and accommodation assessments
  • Assistive technology (equipment) assessments and recommendations
  • Positive behaviour support and capacity building for clients and care teams
  • Therapy and intervention planning based on best-practice research
  • Collaboration with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure holistic care
You’ll also have the opportunity to:
  • Build your experience across both paediatric and adult therapy
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and clinical supervision
  • Contribute to NDIS reporting and funding reviews
  • Deliver services in a flexible, client-centred way—including community, home, and telehealth settings, with weekend and mobile options available.
About You
You are a qualified Occupational Therapist (AHPRA registered) with a strong understanding of mental health and dual disability, comfortable working with clients of all ages and backgrounds. You meet all NDIS compliance requirements and hold a current driver’s licence, with a willingness to travel locally.
Key Capabilities:
  • Apply current, evidence-informed knowledge and person-centred practice
  • Demonstrate understanding of mental health needs across the lifespan, including dual disability
  • Maintain professional boundaries and manage conflicts of interest
  • Collaborate with clients, families, carers, and other professionals to set and achieve therapy goals
  • Assess needs, develop and monitor case plans, and report on outcomes
  • Use culturally responsive and effective communication strategies
  • Take initiative for ongoing learning and professional growth
Benefits
  • The support of an experienced Occupational Therapy team with a commitment to developing our future workforce
  • Career progression and development opportunities
  • Generous salary packaging options
  • Performance-based incentives for achievement of KPIs
  • Diverse caseload and opportunities for skill development
  • Supportive, engaged team environment
