DFP Recruitment Perth is proud to be assisting a State Government agency that plays a critical role in delivering major public transport and infrastructure projects across WA. With several high-profile projects underway, our client is seeking multiple Safety Advisors to join their team immediately.
About the Role
Working within the infrastructure delivery team, you will support and advise on WHS compliance across complex civil and rail construction projects. You will conduct site inspections, audits, and contribute to the development and implementation of integrated management systems aligned with ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 standards.
These are Level 5 roles being offered at a Level 6 equivalent rate of $72.98 per hour, inclusive of casual loading (in lieu of leave entitlements).

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting regular site inspections, contractor audits, and reporting on compliance with safety requirements.
- Providing advice on occupational, public, and rail safety practices.
- Supporting continuous improvement in WHS systems and safety performance.
- Coordinating risk assessments and assurance activities.
- Reviewing safety plans and documentation, including ITPs and audit schedules.
- Participating in accident/incident investigations and producing reports.
- Minimum Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (WHS/OHS) – essential.
- Demonstrated experience in civil construction or road infrastructure environments (non-construction WHS roles such as factory or process-based roles will not be considered).
- Exposure to rail safety environments is highly desirable.
- Sound understanding of WHS legislation, AS/NZS ISO 45001, and risk management practices.
- Strong communication and stakeholder liaison skills.
- Current WA Driver’s Licence.
- Ability to pass a Category 3 Rail Medical and hold (or obtain) a Supervised Worker Track Access Permit.
- National Police Clearance (within 3 months).
- $72.98/hr + Super (inclusive of casual loading).

- 6-month contract with potential to extend.
