Job description

Salesforce Technical Manager  
  • 12-months contract with possible extension
  • ACT, NSW, NT, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC, WA
  • Ability to obtain Negative Vetting Level 1
 
DFP Recruitment is seeking an experienced Salesforce Technical Manager to join our Government Client team. 
 
Role responsibilities
  • Provide technical and delivery leadership for critical enterprise production systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and ongoing operational excellence.
  • Offer architectural and solution design guidance to technical teams, with a strong emphasis on non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, security, and fault tolerance.
  • Oversee all aspects of production system ownership, including software development, monitoring, backup and recovery, system security, incident management, and compliance.
  • Lead, manage, and mentor a multidisciplinary team with varying skill levels, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture focused on continuous learning and growth.
  • Monitor system performance and health, proactively identifying and addressing errors, bottlenecks, and capacity constraints to maintain optimal system operations.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, concise status reports, executive briefs, and supporting documentation for senior stakeholders.
  • Develop, document, and implement robust operational processes to support system stability, governance, and team efficiency.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors, ensuring effective collaboration, timely delivery, and resolution of impediments.
Skills
  • A demonstrated technical, hands-on background in Salesforce solution design and software development.
  • Experience leading or having ownership of enterprise grade production systems, including all associated responsibilities (for example software development, system monitoring, backup & restore, system security, major incident management, audit and compliance).
  • Demonstrated experience in Salesforce Omnistudio (Vlocity).
  • Experience with Atlassian Jira, VSCode and DevOps practices.
