  • $70.86 – $72.85 per hour + Super
  • 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
  • Hybrid (5 days per fortnight in-office)
The Role

Our State Government client is seeking a proactive Senior Financial Analyst to support a major strategic program aimed at improving community outcomes in NSW. This role combines financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and program analysis while working closely with project managers, business partners, and senior stakeholders to inform strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly management reports, PMO financial updates, and annual budgets
  • GL/cost centre review, reconciliations, and month-end adjustments
  • Track and report program metrics (FTE, outcomes, beneficiaries supported)
  • Provide real-time financial insights to project managers and business partners
  • Assist with financial modelling, costing, and briefing notes for internal/external stakeholders
  • Coordinate responses to ad hoc requests from senior stakeholders, executive teams, Treasury, and Audit offices
  • Maintain accurate financial records using SAP, Word, Excel, and MyWork Zone
  • Support internal control processes and process improvements
About You:
  • Big 4 or strong private sector experience preferred
  • Team player with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Proactive, forward-thinking, able to anticipate issues
  • Flexible, adaptable, and open to learning new strategies
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment
  • Able to take direction and work independently
  • Strong technical skills in financial reporting, ERP systems, and Excel
