About the Role
We’re seeking a highly capable Senior People Advisory Officer to join our clients dynamic People & Safety team in Leederville. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting leaders and employees by providing expert advice across a wide range of people management and employment relations (ER) matters. You’ll focus on minimising organisational risk, enhancing workplace culture, and driving performance outcomes.
This is a hands-on, case management-intensive position requiring extensive experience in handling complex employee matters.

Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Support
- Provide consistent, timely HR and ER advice aligned with organisational policy and people strategy.
- Guide leaders and employees in applying enterprise agreements, awards, and contracts.
- Support the implementation of HR systems and processes in collaboration with the broader People & Safety function.
- Lead workplace investigations, performance improvement processes, and behavioural matters.
- Coach leaders through disciplinary processes and fitness-for-work issues.
- Analyse case data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Draft formal submissions and represent the organisation at external hearings as needed.
- Assist leaders in building positive workplace behaviours and resolving HR issues.
- Deliver training and coaching to uplift leadership capability and team performance.
- Contribute to broader HR programs and share your expertise across the organisation.
- Ensure activities meet all legislative, corporate, and ethical standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and act with integrity at all times.
- Prepare reports and documentation in accordance with relevant reporting obligations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Human Resources, Employee Relations or a related field.
- Substantial experience as an HR generalist in a medium to large organisation.
- Deep expertise in case management, ER/IR advisory, performance and misconduct matters.
- Strong understanding of Australian industrial instruments and legislation.
- Experience preparing and representing organisations in employment tribunals or dispute resolution processes.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with a broad range of stakeholders including leaders, employees, and unions.
- Confident in influencing and coaching to drive cultural and behavioural change.
- Flexibility to travel within WA as required.
