Senior Project Manager - Regional and Remote Energy Provider
Our Client:
Our client, a prominent regional and remote energy provider in Western Australia, serves over 35,000 residential and 9,000 business customers, ensuring reliable electricity supply across diverse communities.
Job Specifics:
Position Type: 12 Month Temporary Hire Position with possible extension
Location: Bentley, Western Australia
Work Hours: 7.5 Hours per day
Remuneration: Daily rate based on market rates
Project Focus: Managing feasibility and FEED phases of a large-scale transmission infrastructure project in the Pilbara region, based in Perth, Western Australia.
Directly managing up to 10 individuals, with indirect oversight of up to 20.

Knowledge Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant trade qualification.
- Minimum diploma in Project Management.
- Essential understanding of electrical energy systems, renewable energy, transmission, and distribution.
- Knowledge of energy systems planning, financial analysis evaluation, and transmission asset development.
- Understanding of Electricity Network Safety Management System (ENSMS), Heritage and Environmental regulations, as well as Work Health and Safety and Construction Industry Acts (WA).
- Detailed understanding of regional electrical utility operations.
- Proven Project Management experience in complex projects, encompassing Front End Loading, Risk Management, Controls, Engineering, Procurement & Construction Management, and Commissioning.
- Expertise in Project Management and Execution.
- Extensive team management and leadership experience, motivating and leading teams effectively.
- Strong stakeholder management skills influencing diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in developing Project Execution Plans and monitoring project delivery.
- Proficiency in managing commercial impacts on project decisions and change.
- Experience in developing Project contracting & procurement strategies, managing project change, and negotiating/managing EPC contracts.
- Preferably 10 - 15 years' experience in delivering utility-scale electrical infrastructure projects.
- Experience in delivering transmission infrastructure projects at voltages of 220kV or higher.
