About You
You are a technically minded professional with strong communication skills and a passion for community service. You bring:
  • Ability to interpret and explain the National Construction Code (NCC) and Australian Standards
  • Experience in property assessment, maintenance coordination, or a similar technical role
  • Familiarity with HiiP customer service database (desirable)
  • Strong data entry, administrative, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A trade apprenticeship in Plumbing or Electrical, or tertiary qualification in property/construction management (desirable)
About the Role
As a Technical Authorisation Officer (contract until Dec 2026), you will join the Housing Call Centre (HCC) team in Morwell to deliver high-quality maintenance services for public housing across Victoria. Your responsibilities include:
  • Coordinating maintenance requests and complaints from renters
  • Liaising with Head Contractors and managing community property maintenance
  • Supporting maintenance for Disability Homes Victoria and Care Services
  • Leading welfare calls for renters aged 75+ through the Keeping in Touch (KIT) program
  • Providing administrative support and processing applications for the Victorian Housing Register
