Job description

We are looking for an APS4 Fraud Intelligence Support Officer to join a Federal Government Agency based in Brisbane CBD.

The Role:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Review and audit data from multiple sources, assessing inconsistences to ensure correct services and payments are delivered in line with legislation and policies
  • Assess and treat the risk of non-compliance including misuse of funds and claims that are not reasonable or necessary
  • Escalate information and more complex cases to relevant teams for remediation
  • Make decision on fraud intelligence activity outcomes based on policy and legislation
About you:
To be considered for this role candidates must be able to demonstrate:
  • Experience in supporting assessment and investigation activities involving members of vulnerable communities, preferable within a public sector environment
  • Experience in conducting fraud investigations
  • Demonstrated team player with the ability to succeed within a complex and rapidly changing environment
This is a 12 month assignment paying $43.82 per hour plus super.  Some WFH flexibility will be offered following training.
