Cloud Specialist (AWS)
  • 12-month contract with possible extension
  • ACT Location based role, Hybrid work arrangements.
  • You must be an Australian Citizen.
  • BASELINE security clearance (minimum) is an essential requirement for this role.
 
DFP Recruitment is seeking experienced Cloud Specialist to join our Federal Government Client. 
 
Role Description
 
  • Contribute to the design, development, enhancement, support and maintenance of Cloud hosted platforms covering AWS Technologies.
  • Provide technical advice as required to other teams within the Information Technology (IT) Division and Managed Services Provider(s) by co-ordinating with vendors.
  • Provide technical coaching on Cloud hosting solutions to other IT Division staff as appropriate
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of appropriate technical standards and procedures for relevant applications; and under the direction of the team leader, manage own work priorities to achieve individual work accountability's and deliverables in compliance with endorsed enterprise architecture.
  • Contribute towards knowledge transfer of skills and mentor staff as appropriate.
 
Required skills and experience
 
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience in the implementation and management of cloud-based Iaas, PaaS and SaaS solutions involving Amazon Web Services.
  • Detailed understanding of Data Loss Prevention, Archiving, eDiscovery, and Compliance aspects at Enterprise.
  • Assist and contribute in developing and optimising backup strategy.
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience with the Microsoft and xUnix Infrastructure stack in hybrid cloud environments.
  • Proven knowledge and demonstrated experience in automating tasks with code automation.
  • Capability to develop and maintain sound working relationships with end users, key stakeholders, and suppliers.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, proven capability to work within tight deadlines.
