Database Administrator
Duration: 12 Months contract with possible extension
Location: Canberra
Baseline Clearance required.

 
DFP Recruitment is s seeking an experienced Database Administrator for our Federal Government Client. In this role you will support in maintaining and sustaining Client’s database environment, including on-premises and cloud hosted.  

Responsibilities:
  1. Delivering work packages to bolster various projects.
  2. Crafting pertinent documentation, encompassing handover, Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs), detailed designs, and high-level designs.
  3. Offering on-the-job training and facilitating knowledge transfer to fellow staff members to enhance internal capability.
Experience 
  • Tertiary qualifications in ICT or a related field and/or equivalent experience as a database administrator (8+ years).
  • Experience administering SQL Server, from legacy SQL Server 2012 to all versions of SQL Server in the Azure cloud.
  • TSQL and powershell scripting experience.
  • Experience with on-premises high availability clusters.
  • Experience decommissioning legacy SQL Server 2012 servers.
  • Experience migrating databases between different versions of SQL Server
  • Experience with Commvault backup and restore.
  • Experience with SAS Grid or SAS Viya is desirable but not essential.
