The Role
As an EL1 Change Manager within the Transformation Office, you will work with the Change Management Team and play a key role in driving the execution of activities required to implement strategic enterprise change across the organisation.
Reporting to the Director of Change Management, you will lead change work in large, complex programs and across several smaller projects and initiatives simultaneously. Your focus will be on enabling positive change, enhancing employee engagement and aligning transformation efforts with strategic goals to successfully deliver on the government’s digital health reform agenda.
Key duties will include but are not limited to:
- Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership of change management activities across Programs or Projects you’re supporting, ensuring end-to-end delivery in line with agreed plans.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and fellow Change Managers to ensure change activities are integrated, culturally aligned and coordinated across the organisation, considering interdependencies and sequencing.
- Identify business impacts, assess organisational readiness, and develop targeted change plans that embed changes and support benefit realisation.
- Define adoption metrics and monitor, track and adapt plans as needed to ensure successful implementation and sustained outcomes.
- Lead change readiness assessments, identify areas of resistance and implement strategies to build resilience and drive adoption.
- Facilitate engagement and communication by collaborating closely with the communications team to develop and deliver communication artifacts, ensuring awareness, understanding, and commitment to new systems, processes, and ways of working.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of change initiatives and apply insights to continuously improve change management approaches.
- Support and refine the change management framework, partnering closely with the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office and Communications Branch to align internal and external change.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of an enterprise change management strategy and tool kit.
- Operate with a high degree of autonomy, managing competing priorities and contributing to business improvement initiatives that strengthen internal change capability.
- Champion a positive change culture by modelling adaptability, resilience and a solutions-focused mindset.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Communications, Change, Transformation or Organisational Design are desirable
- Candidates with change management certifications (eg PROSCI) are highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and evaluating organisational change management requirements
- Demonstrated experience in applying a structured methodology and leading organisational change management activities
- Excellent organisational skills
- Demonstrated experience in building, maintaining and influencing key stakeholder relationships
- Demonstrated experience in dealing with confronting and complex situations and information
- Demonstrated ability as a change delivery professional, including determining the change strategy and measuring the success of change delivery
