Job description

Our client located in Broome is currently looking for HR Drivers with a current forklift licence to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe transportation of freight to and from a customer specified site, ensuring the supplier and customer commitments are met on schedule and in good condition.

 Duties
  • Loading and unloading of general, over-dimensional and refrigerated freight
  • Securing and restraining loads in a safe manner as per operational requirements
  • Carrying out vehicle pre-start checks
  • Transporting freight in a safe and efficient manner to and from customer sites and depots
  • Ensuring all freight loaded matches the paperwork
  • Start times vary however may start as early as 4am
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to liaise with customers in a friendly and professional manner
Skills and Experience
  • Current HR Driver’s license
  • Accredited forklift ticket
  • Demonstrated experience using a non-synchromesh gearbox
  • Ability to acquire and pass a commercial vehicle pre-employment medical (Fit to drive).
  • Current online fatigue management certificate.
  • Ability to pass random drug and alcohol screens.
  • Flexibility in hours of work.
  • Refrigeration and general freight experience is desirable.
