Job description

DFP Recruitment are currently seeking a Hydrant Inspection Technician for a 2 month temporary assignment in Balcatta starting ASAP.

This role often has overtime and occasionally weekend work.

Duties:
  • Work unsupervised whilst operating a service vehicle
  • Follow a work instruction to complete Hydrant inspections in the field
  • Inspect and report on the condition of these assets through a mobile computing system
  • Carry out operation and maintenance tasks requiring the use of specialised tools and equipment
  • Ensure work is completed and left in a safe state
  • Available to offside on a service truck when required
  • Available to work overtime when required
Typical days work:
  • Driving to multiple sites (approx. 20 a day)
  • Operating a PDA and taking photos on a PDA
  • Setting up a hydrant stand and operating the hydrant (show water)
  • Updating comments on a exel spreadsheet (on PDA)
  • Marking Hydrant with paint

Requirements:
  • White Card
  • MR Class drivers licence
  • Fully vaccinated against Covid-19
