Project Environmental Approvals Specialist 

Our Client: 
Our client, a prominent regional and remote energy provider in Western Australia, serves over 35,000 residential and 9,000 business customers, ensuring reliable electricity supply across diverse communities. 

Job Specifics: 
Position Type: 12 Month Temporary Hire Position with possible extension 
Location: Bentley, Western Australia 
Work Hours: 7.5 Hours per day 
Remuneration: Daily rate based on market rates 

Project Focus: Lead consultant engagement for environmental surveys, coordinate environmental survey delivery and establish environmental approvals pathway required to deliver construction for project. 

Knowledge Required:
 
  • Tertiary science degree, preferably in environmental science, environmental management or a related discipline is required.  
  • WA Drivers license class ”C”. 
  • Extensive experience in environmental impact assessment and State and Federal approvals of major projects.  
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant legislation and environmental standards is required.   
  • Advanced GIS skillset. 
Desired Knowledge: 
  • Delivery of linear infrastructure approvals in Western Australia.  
Skills and Experience Required: 
  • At least 5 years practical experience in a role delivering environmental approvals, and managing supporting surveys.  
  • Experience coordinating and managing delivery of environmental surveys in regional of WA.  
Desired Experience:  
  • Managing environmental compliance.
