Project Land & Access Lead - Regional and Remote Energy Provider
Our Client:
Our client, a prominent regional and remote energy provider in Western Australia, serves over 35,000 residential and 9,000 business customers, ensuring reliable electricity supply across diverse communities.
Job Specifics:
Position Type: 12 Month Temporary Hire Position with possible extension
Location: Bentley, Western Australia
Work Hours: 7.5 Hours per day
Remuneration: Daily rate based on market rates
Project Focus: Undertake assessment, engagement, due diligence and acquisition processes to facilitate the land access and tenure needs of the project in collaboration with the project team.

Knowledge Required:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in legal studies, project management and land practices considered beneficial.
- Working knowledge of land processes, easements, leases, licences and legal and government processes as they relate to land access and acquisition.
- Experience in major project development and demonstrated understanding of issues that impact a large resource development.
- Experience travelling in and engaging with Regional communities
- Experience with Crown land matters
- Knowledge of legal framework impacting land acquisition including Land Administration Act
- Principles of sustainable development
- Experience securing land related approvals and the negotiation of land access agreements.
- Ability to coordinate and align stakeholders for necessary decisions/approvals.
- Experience working with Traditional Owners, Aboriginal community councils and on Indigenous Land Use Agreement
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills
- Excellent organisational and document management skills
- Experience in supporting complex multi-stream projects
