Job description

Due to exceptional growth our client, a debt management services business based in Melbourne’s South East are seeking an experienced Collections Team Leader to join their dynamic team!  

As the Collections Supervisor reporting through to the Head of Collections & Recoveries you will be responsible for the hands-on management and supervision of debt collection process and the recoveries team. In this position you will liaise directly with the customers, your team of agents & the wide business to report on successes and business improvement strategies. 

Your duties will incorporate:
  • Management of the team of Collection & Recovery staff (Onshore & Offshore).
  • Functional ownership of a team of Business Analysts responsible for reporting, insights, and analytics – Design to implementation and monitoring.
  • Setting daily, weekly, and monthly workload schedules for the collections & analytics team
  • Working with clients to enhance and refine services to ensure a mutually successful and positive relationship
  • Operational Leadership & performance management - reviewing performance management framework and associated technology.
  • Personally, manage critical or high net value accounts
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Reporting & Analysis
  • Risk Management
  • Maximizing & protecting cashflow contribution with a focus revenue retention and growth
  • Communicating the importance of effective information security management and of conforming to the information security management system requirements.  
Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years Team Leader experience ideally in debt collection industry
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience business analysis in a corporate setting
  • Experience managing offshore teams.
  • Experience in Credit Risk Strategy, Collection strategy, portfolio analytics or related is a plus.
  • High level interpersonal skills with the ability to manage stakeholders and respond to requests appropriately
  • Proven team leadership skills with the ability to manage staff performance & deliver training to support to the team. 
  • Demonstrated client relationship / business development capabilities

Commencing immediately this is a full-time permanent position with hours of work rostered between 8:30AM to 6PM Monday to Friday.
