Our Client is a Federal Government body that supports Australians and their families by valuing a positive contemporary attitude to disability. They are currently seeking skilled individuals for a critical role in their Research and Evaluation Branch, that contribute to shaping policies and practices through robust evidence and strategic insights.

The role is located in the Perth CBD, and consideration to WFH for up to 2 days per week can be considered after your initial onboarding/training. 

APS6 Senior Research Officer
Join as the APS6 Senior Research Officer and be a driving force behind impactful research initiatives. Your role will encompass:
  • Assumption of team leadership and management responsibilities, including prioritisation and work-flow management.
  • Application of autonomy and judgement to achieve outcomes while interpreting relevant regulations and policies.
  • Providing technical, professional, policy, and operational support for complex challenges.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to shape, develop, and manage project plans.
  • Application of your knowledge translation expertise to support evidence-based policy and practice.
  • Contribution to research and evaluation activities conducted by the Branch.
  • Maintenance of project-related records using dedicated research software or platforms.
  • Preparation and delivery of internal reports and recommendations, tailored to stakeholders' needs.
Key skills required for role
  • Systematic review(s)
  • Research / evidence synthesis
  • Prior research experience in disability, psychology, medicine, epidemiology, education, economics, social science, statistics or related fields   
  • Prior experience in government or NGOs is not required   
 
Desirable skills to have for the role
  • Meta-analysis or statistical modelling

These roles are at the APS6 level equivalent offering $60.26 per hour 11% super. The rate of pay is casually loaded, as you will not be accruing annual or sick leave.
