Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Payable Officer to join their Support Office team in Soiuth Melbourne. In this role, you will manage key supplier accounts throughout the accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in payments while adhering to company policies and procedures.
What Is the Role?
As the Accounts Payable Officer, your responsibilities will include:
- Accurately and efficiently entering all supplier invoices.
- Maintaining supplier relationships and resolving payment discrepancies.
- Creating, maintaining, and updating supplier details.
- Reconciling accounts payable transactions with supplier statements and monitoring accounts for timely payments.
- Assisting with month-end closing processes and supporting audits.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar role.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with accounting software or SAP (training will be provided).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Positive, self-motivated, and a can-do attitude.
