Role:
The APS4 Policy Analyst is a project-oriented role involving policy analysis and recommendations within a designated project area. Responsibilities include document review, stakeholder consultation, and referencing existing policies and legislation. The role entails significant interaction with internal stakeholders across the portfolio, and potential involvement in external stakeholder engagement, including coordinating meetings and workshops.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Analysing and interpreting legislation, policies, reports, strategies, and program/project plans
- Conducting desktop research to inform policy and strategy design
- Coordinating and liaising with internal procurement teams and external suppliers
- Contributing to briefings, reports, business cases, and other executive materials
- Developing materials, agendas, and PowerPoint presentations for meetings and workshops
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Conceptual and analytical abilities
- Effective stakeholder management
- Social sciences degree
- Interdisciplinary experience
- Current policy understanding
