Job description

  • Federal Government opportunity in Newcastle
  • 7 months Contract with possible extension
  • $60.26 per hour + super
  • Hybrid work arrangement
Role Overview:

The APS6 Project Officer undertakes complex tasks guided by legislation, policies, and established protocols. This leadership position involves resolving issues, managing resources, and providing strategic support to enhance service delivery.
 
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Develop and manage project plans and schedules.
  • Provide specialist advice and technical expertise.
  • Conduct independent research and prepare reports.
  • Coordinate project reporting and document preparation.
  • Monitor project budgets and assist with procurement.
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and benefits.
  • Contribute to project quality management.
 The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Previous experience working within interfaces such as health, justice, or child protection.
  • Experience in writing business cases, plans, executive briefs, and corporate documents.
  • Experience in the disability sector.
  • Experience conducting research and analysis in a related area.
  • Experience working in virtual project teams
