Job Title: Azure Platform Technical Lead
Location: Canberra / Brisbane
Company: Federal Government Client
Type: 12 Months Contract
Clearance: Australian citizen with active or must be able to obtain NV1 clearance

Overview:
DFP is seeking an experienced Azure Platform Technical Lead to join our team for a Federal Government client. The successful candidate will lead the development, implementation, and management of a robust Azure-based platform. This role demands strong technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of Azure-based solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to development teams.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure platform solutions align with business requirements.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure and ensure its reliability, performance, and security.
  • Implement best practices for cloud computing, particularly focusing on cost management and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the Azure platform.
  • Document and maintain system architecture, processes, and procedures.
  • Conduct regular assessments of system performance and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Stay updated with the latest Azure technologies and integrate them into the platform as needed.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Proven experience in Azure cloud platform and services.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and best practices.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or similar.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in Azure (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer) are highly desirable.
