About the Role
As an EL1 Scrum Master, you will play a critical role in delivering quality outcomes across the Service Design and Improvement functions. Reporting under broad direction, this role involves managing complex projects, resolving issues and risks, and supporting team leadership in planning and coordination.

As a Scrum Master, you will manage project scope and timelines, coordinate sprints and retrospective meetings, and coach team members in agile frameworks and scrum practices. You'll work with product owners to handle product backlogs and guide development teams towards higher scrum maturity. Building a productive environment and managing project governance are also key responsibilities.
  • Managing project scope and timeline.
  • Working in line with the Agile project approach.
  • Coordinating sprints and retrospective meetings.
  • Coaching team members in agile frameworks and scrum practices.
  • Working with product owners to develop and handle product backlogs and new requests.
  • Guiding development teams to higher scrum maturity.
  • Helping to build a productive environment where team members have accountability for the product.
  • Managing the governance of the project against Agency frameworks and escalating concerns, as necessary.
About you
To thrive in this role, you need:
  • Proven experience in managing project scope and timeline.
  • Expertise in Agile project management.
  • Experience coordinating sprints and retrospective meetings.
  • Ability to coach team members in agile frameworks and scrum practices.
  • Skill in working with product owners to handle product backlogs and new requests.
  • Ability to guide development teams to higher scrum maturity.
  • Capacity to build a productive environment with team accountability.
  • Experience in managing project governance and escalating concerns as necessary.
  • Flexibility in undertaking duties to support the squad.
  • Be able to pass and hold a national police check and worker screening check.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen.
