Gateway Architect
Immediate start 12 Months Contract - with possible extension 
$160 - $170 per hour plus super
Location – Canberra
 
Security Clearance: Minimum Negative Vetting (NV1) security clearance.
 
DFP Recruitment is urgently seeking a Gateway Architect for the Cyber Security and Networks Branch within the Agency. The Gateway Architect will be expected to participate in strategy, planning, and innovation activities to advance Departmental and Whole of Government priorities, and to strengthen and modernise gateway environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with operations of global systems.
  • Provide technical contributions to both network and gateway technologies, including (but not limited to) Juniper, Cisco, Trend Micro, F5, Clearswift and Fortigate.
  • Contribute to documentation.
 Key Skills:
  • Minimum five years relevant experience demonstrating strong gateway engineering and technical skills and knowledge.
  • Experience in the development of gateway high-level designs and detailed designs.
  • Ability to articulate technical detail through design and implementation plans.
  • Highly developed diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Desirable Skills:
  • A broad understanding of industry, whole of government direction, emerging technologies and how they can be applied to solve business problems.
  • Strong stakeholder management and client services skills.
  • A strong understanding of ASD Essential 8 and experience with contributing to security accreditation of ICT systems.
